That is the name of our Dave Whitlock TU Chapter’s fly-fishing education program offered via the Jenks Community Education Program.
Our motto has become … “If you want to learn to fly fish or know someone that wants to learn to fly fish and you don’t want to teach them yourself, send them or come to us, we teach fly fishing.”
This all-in-one, single day course on fly fishing covers the basics of many things in fly fishing. Terminology, when, where and how to catch a variety of Oklahoma’s many species, recognizing these species, covers fly tying, learning the most important fly-fishing knots and how to tie them and finally, how to cast a fly using a fly rod.
The clinic is offered at the Jenks High School Aquatics Center on the campus of Jenks High School where we can teach casting technique on the water. Offered indoors, rain or shine for a fee of only $35, it is a course many, now seasoned fly casters, have taken. All proceeds go to your Chapter for other programs.
