What We Do

Our Programs

Three pillars of action that drive the Dave Whitlock Chapter forward.

Trout In The Classroom

Students raise salmonids from egg to fingerling right in their classrooms, then personally release them into the Lower Illinois River, building a deep conservation ethic along the way.

~5,000 Oklahoma students reached

Conservation

Stream restoration, water quality monitoring, and habitat advocacy across Tulsa’s freshwater ecosystems, striving for clean, healthy streams and abundant trout populations.

Protecting Oklahoma’s waters

What Our Community Says

TIC was a new experience for me and my students this year. It was definitely a learning experience at that!
KB Kassidy Burden TIC Teacher
My students actively monitored the water quality and took ownership of the fish themselves. This program provided an excellent, inclusive, hands-on learning opportunity. I’m looking forward to hosting trout in my classroom again next year.
