Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TU420, the Dave Whitlock Chapter of Trout Unlimited (and Tulsa Fly Fishers) ("we," "us," or "our") collects and how we use it. We are a volunteer-run nonprofit conservation chapter, and we keep this simple: we collect the least we need to keep members informed, and we do not sell your information.

What we collect

• Your email address, and optionally your name, when you subscribe to our newsletter.
• Your mobile phone number, only if you choose to provide it and opt in to text messages.
• Details you send us when you submit an event or contact us.
• Basic, non-identifying server logs (such as page requests) that our web host keeps for security and performance.

How we use it

We use your information to send chapter communications you asked for: the Streamline newsletter, event reminders, and, if you opted in, text-message updates. We also use it to respond to messages you send us.

Text messaging (SMS)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with the service providers we use solely to deliver the messages you asked for. Those providers are not permitted to use your number for their own purposes.

If you opt in to texts, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not remove you from our email newsletter, and vice versa.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate, such as our email delivery provider and our text-message provider, and only so they can deliver the communications you requested. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Every text program accepts STOP to opt out. You can also contact us any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.

Youth programs

Our Trout in the Classroom program works with students through their schools and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
